Guest presenter, Marie Eveline, Executive Director, Volunteer Ottawa, will speak on volunteering as a pathway to employment and career progression, to personal development and giving back to the community.

About Marie Eveline
Marie has been the Executive Director of Volunteer Ottawa for four years. During that time she has overseen the transformation of the organization into one with a clear mandate with measurable outcomes; streamlined governance structure; programs that meet defined needs; and a diversified revenue base with social enterprise activities.

Marie has worked in the not for profit sector for over 35 years primarily at the national and provincial levels. She previously served as Executive Director of the Canadian School Boards Association and the Printing Industries Sector Council. Believing that real change happens at the local level, Marie jointed Volunteer Ottawa in 2015. Marie has a Masters in sociology and certification in association management.
